Unable to add local Hyper-V server as "host" in MS SCVMM 2008

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver

Message:

We've configured a new Dell PE1950 as a Hyper-V server (v6.0.6001.17101).
We're trying to convert a physical server into virtual with MS System Center
Virtual Machine Manager 2008 (v2.0.3444.0), which is also installed on the
same server. However, we're not able to add the local server as a "host" to
start the process.

The following error appears at 75% of the 'Add-VmHost' command:

Error (10414)
Virtual Machine Manager cannot add vmsvr.domain.com as a Hyper-V host
because the Hyper-V version detected on vmsvr.domain.com is not the released
version.

Recommended Action
1) If the host is intended to be used as a Hyper-V host, download and
install the released version of Hyper-V from
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=113199. If you are not sure whether
the host has hardware-assisted virtualization support or whether it is
enabled in the BIOS, download the Virtualization Detect (DetectVp.EXE) tool
and run it on the host to confirm it meets the requirements. To download the
tool as part of the Windows Logo Kit (WLK), go to
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=121104.
2) If the host is intended to be used as a Virtual Server host, download and
install Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 and the latest update on the host. To
download Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1, go to
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=120488. To download the latest update,
go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=121055.

We've enabled Virtual Technology in the BIOS.
What version of the Hyper-V should we be running? We're currently running
the version that came with Windows 2008.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
