SCVMM 2008 and P2V

Hi,

I am working at a medium sized company and I have a single forest and a few
domains, and would like to recreate my entire production AD infrastrucutre
Windows 2008 DC with some Windows 2003 DC into a virtual environment using
Hyper - V and VMM 2008 for testing purposes (P2V). Please not that there will
be no connectivity of the production environment to the Virtual Environment.
I am looking at cloning production into a Virtual environment and using the
virtual only for test purposes so it needs to be exact.
I have some questions:
1) it is not recommended to live/online clone a DC due to USN rollback
issues but the cloned DC will never speak to production. will I still have
issues and is it still best practice to always clone DC offline/cold?
2)To make an exact replica of production which Domain Controllers should I
start P2V first the FSMO holders or the additional DC's?
3) I see lots of articles on how to convert your environment from P2V but
not too many that speak about cloning your environment on two seperate
networks for testing. Any articles that you can provide on this process?

Thanks in advance for any support for feedback.

Thanks

Elvis
