I have Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 running on a Dell Precision 450
workstation. I have a Virtual Machine I created for a Vista training course.
I had the VM working fine if slow and was able to upgrade the Vista from
Business to Ulitmate. I had allocated a 25GB drive and 1024MB RAM. I tried
running Windows Easy Transfer tool as one of the exercises and the tool can't
install becasue of a disk space problem. The virtual drive was set to dynamic
instead of fixed size. I ran the convert utilitiy to change it to a fixed
size of 25GB hoping to fix the problem with Windows Easy Transfer and also
hopefully boost performance. Now I can't boot at all. I tried going back to
the original vhd file for the dynamic disk and that won't boot either. Both
vhd files are in the same folder with the vmc file. I see that I have a
second folder of an older Vista installation when I originally started this
project a long ways back. I seem to have run into this before. What do I need
to do to get fixed 25GB vhd file working to be able to boot again? Thanks,
