LSARegisterLogonProcess Error

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 12/08/2008
From: Matthew Stringer
Message:

Hi Folks,

I am getting the "LSARegisterLogonProcess() failed! Access is denied" error
message when attempting to open the Admin Site for my Virtual Server 2005 R2
SP1 test server. The error only starts to happen once I have applied
KB948515, before this update is installed the Admin site functions just fine.

I have Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 x64 installed on Windows Server 2003 R2
Enterprise x64. The original install of VS is done using a custom install to
enable the Admin Website to always run as the Local System account.

I have checked the Identity of the Virtual Server applicaiton pool and its
set to run as "Local System" as described in the MS KB article 923833.

Has anybody experienced this issue or know of a resolution to it?

Thanks

Matthew
