Bad disk performance on 2008 / virtual pc 2007, anybody know how t

Hi folks
After we installed server 2008 Hyper with virtual pc 2007, sql 2005, we
start experiencing pretty bad io delays.
In sql server log i see messages:
SQL Server has encountered 1 occurrence(s) of I/O requests taking longer
than 15 seconds to complete on file [C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\templog.ldf] in database [tempdb] (2)

Than I decided to run iometer tests against disk which were allocated to
give vertual pc (5 disks, 8gb ram, 2 cpu). It showed bad performance.

Than I installed virtual pc on my local pc and ran iometer tests against the
same disk from VM and from host OS - results were pretty bad for VM.

Does anybody familiar with this phenomena?
