My windows 2008 server configured hardware Raid 1 for C partition,
and Raid 10 (G drive), the rest of the storage. I want to use Hyper-V
manager to create a windows 2000 server virtual disk
on G drive, later will install SQL version 7.
Normaly, I would have to have 3 physical disk to install OS, SQL data, and
log files in separate drives to prevent performance issues, but in Hyper-V
how do we do that. Would single virtual disk enough with all OS, SQL being
on same VHD?
no perfromance issues?

I would add to this that you could separate the VHD's onto separate virtual
SCSI controlers to, minus the C drive due to Hyper-V boot drive limitations.
I always try to mimic what I would do in the physical environment when
dealing with the virtual hardware setup.

I would be less likely to worry about multiple virtual SCSI conntrollers
here, given the synthetic nature of the SCSI controllers and the way the
buss works. But it wouldn't hurt to do so.
