Hyper-V on a laptop/sleep

I have WS 2008 32 bit on my laptop but I want to install Hyper-V. I heard
that when Hyper-V is running, you cannot put the laptop in sleep or
hybernate which means reboot each time. Is there a way to "shut down" the
Hyper-V (perhaps turning off the services) so that I can install a system on
my laptop and then be able to put the laptop in sleep/hybernate? Also, will
Hyper-V downloadable which is due from Microsoft in a month work for 32-bit
WS 2008 or only the 64-bit version? (I am running software like Microsoft
Performancepoint Server 2007 which only works on the server version of
Windows such I need to run the Server anyway but I use it as a workstation.

Hyper-V only runs on the 64-bit version and it has to be a SKU that
includes Hyper-V.

Unfortunately not. Other than to uninstall the Hyper-V role and then
reboot, you can't change it when active.
