I have Dell Power edge server 2950 with quad Core Processor and 32 GB RAM,
Win 2008 64bit Server and Latest Hyper V Final Release.
The virtual machine is running Windows 2003 SP2 Std Edition. I have assigned
8192 MB (8GB) RAM to this machine but this machine can only read 4GB.
What am I doing wrong?.
How can I make my virtual machine use all RAM assigned?

The limitation is entirely in the operating system being installed. 32-bit
Windows Server Standard is limited to 4 GB. Period. 32-bit or 64-bit
Enterprise can use more, or 64-bit Standard can use more. But 32-bit
Standard is limited to 4 GB.

Hi Mavi,

If this is Windows Server 2003 Standard, 32 bit, then it can only use 4GB.
To use more, you'd have to be running the 64 bit version.
