Defrag VMs and Hosts

I am running VS2005 R2 in a host cluster. Both hosts are attached to an
iSCSI SAN. I have 6 VMs running.

Is there a perferred way to defrag? Should I log onto each guest and run
the Windows degrag utility then run it on the SAN drive on each host? Or, is
there another preferred way of doing it?
