Disk I/O Error

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 06/17/2008
From: Jimmy Liew
Message:

I don't really understand what is the issue, everything happened so sudden
without given any warning. It happen on my development virtual server. It
was fine on the night, but the next morning, it could not even boot up
anymore.

Several tricks I tried to fix it, but no luck. I search among all the forum
in the Internet, they teach us the best way is to attach the currupted
virtual hard disk as secondary hard disk, and then try to boot up the fine
server.

I tried before, it take almost 2 hours for booting up Windows XP, it hang as
showing blank screen. At the end, a error message like "Disk I/O error"
appeared and the whole thing down. My physical machine memory usage reach it
101% maximum.

Can someone help me on this? Is that any way I can recovered my virtual
hard disk?

Best Regards,
Jimmy Liew
