hi
i have installed Windows server 2008 x64 enterprise from the latest DVD.

i have enabled the VT and Disable execute in the Bios for my DELL PE2950
server.

my event Viewer tells me that Hypervisor started successfully after
applyling the Hyper-v role.
Unfortunately my virtual machine management service wont start! when i try
start it i get the following error: 'the service changed to an unexpected
state".

Please could someone help me troubleshoot?

One more thing... How can I tell which version of hyper-V I am running? The
Server Manager only says; "this is a pre-release version of hyper-V".

Awesome that worked!

Well not sure which one it was that exactly fixed it.
I changed the Regional Settings to English US and had a pending restart for
the KB949219.
