System is OS 10.4.11, Classic is installed, Virtual PC 7.0.3, Windows 2000

When I drag files from the Mac Finder onto the Windows desktop, filename over
31 characters are renamed to 31 characters. However, when I use Windows
Explorer to move a file from the Mac filesystem to Windows, files remain
named as they were.

Anyone know why this is? Could it be that I have Classic installed?

I doubt it has anything to do directly with Classic. The Mac OS Extended
file format is the same for Classic and OSX.
