Our #2000 Grit Green Shapton Professional Ceramic Water Stone will remove scratches from coarser stones and smooth and prepare the edge for final polishing to a razor edge. The stone is fired to a high temperature with a mixture of medium #2000 abrasive and a clay binder. Unlike other water stones, it does not need to be soaked prior to use. Simply add water to the surface and start polishing. It is 8-1/4" x 2-3/4" x 5/8" and is shipped in a plastic storage case that can be used as a stone holder while sharpening. The case has rubber feet to give a non-slip working surface.
