FreeDOS, games and VPC 2007

I've created a FreeDOS virtual machine and have installed the
following three video games:

1) SimCity
2) Abrams Battle Tank
3) Out of this World

The games all run correctly (except much too fast!!), but the sound is
not working. Games #1 and #2 use the PC speaker for sound, but the
emulated sound that I hear is more of a pop and fizzle than what it's
supposed to be. I've set game #3 to use a Sound Blaster, but can't
hear any sound at all.

If I were to guess I would say the issue with games #1 and #2 may be
because the games run too fast. The issue with game #3 may be because
I have set the BLASTER settings incorrectly in AUTOEXEC.BAT. I've
tried fixing the first problem by using a program called MoSlo to slow
down the processor. The program unfortunately does not run correctly.
I'm not sure how to fix the second problem, as I no longer possess the
game documentation and there's none on the disk itself.

Does anyone else have any ideas on how to solve this?

-Mike
