Super Slow Performance in VPC - 6mhz?

Hi all-

I decided to install windows 7 beta on a vpc to play with it after seeing
others do it but the performance is incredibly slow. The VPC is installed on
on a AMD Turion 64 x2 tl-58 1.90ghz processor and 4gb of ram. I gave the VPC
1.5gb of ram and 30 gigs of hard drive. The Windows 7 install took about 12
hours to complete! Start up is fast but even moving the mouse around is
choppy and open the start menu takes at least 5 seconds. When I go into the
control panel 7 says I have 1.5gbs of ram but that the processor speed is
"AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58 6MHz. How do I give more of the
processor to the VPC? I have the latest version of VPC with SP1 and
installed windows 7 as "other" How do I increase the processor clock?
THANKS!
