::I wanted to play some old old games that not working even under XP...
so I decided to install Win98 with VPC.::

::I installed VPC2007 + Win98 SE, and tried to run the game... yeah,
and it didn't work :cry:::

::When I run it, it only shows upper half of the game..::

::In other words.. the game is vertically double sized, and the screen
shows the upper half only.. this is the problem I'm encountering.::

- it's only an 8Mb Trio S3 card. Games that use any Direct X can't use it.

Direct X can't use it." in a separate sentence.

I also have had DOS games that did the upper half/lower half bit and
managed to make it use the whole screen by doubling the size of video
RAM by editing the XML file from 8 to 16. Seemed to work.

Does the game itself have any sort of instructions? I seem to remember
that some DOS games has trailing switches when you executed them from
the DOS command line like:

MYGAME /VGA

or

MYGAME /VGA:LCD

Stuff like that.

I didn't mean "MYGAME" literally - I meant for you to substitute the
ACTUAL name of the game instead of MYGAME. Yes, I meant commands given
at the DOS prompt.

Like (for the old Flight Simulator):

FS /?

This command would tell you all the options that were available for the
game at the command-line level.
