0x0000007B is usually caused by not having the disk drivers loaded.
Verify that you are using an IDE controller in VMware and not a SCSI
controller.

I simulated the unattend install via virtual PC and it seemed to work which
was great however, whats disappointing with virtual PC is that it does not
provide the flexibility to capture video which vmware has the capabilities in
doing.
