How does Memory allocation in VPC 2007 64bit on 64bit OS work?

I am considering building a new system and I'm trying to put
together specs. I'm inclined to build a system with Intel Quad Core
with either XP Pro 64 or Vista 64 and 8GB RAM. I want to run multiple
VMs in VPC. Since VPC 2007 has a 64 bit version, will it access all
available memory for allocation to guest OSs? For example, can I put
8GB RAM in the host machine, run 4-32bit guest OSs with 1.5GB
allocated to each? I know each 32bit OS could use the 1.5GB of memory,
but that would hinge of VPC 2007 using a total of 6GB of RAM to
distribute out to the VM's. Will this work? I have some stuff that
could really benefit from giving the guest OS's at least 1GB of RAM
and I would like to have them all running at times, while still
allowing a good bit of RAM to stay open to the host OS. The only way I
can see how to do that is with more than 4GB of RAM - thus the whole
64 bit route.

Thanks in adavance!

Andrew
