This is correct.
Do your VMs have an IP address?
Do you have router at your location? Are you using Hardware MAC address
for security? You have to add the MAC address of each VM to the list of
allowed MAC addresses to your router.

If it sits behind a DSL router then most probably it uses DHCP and
this will then also be used by the guests to obtain their own
individual IP addresses from the same DHCP server (the one inside the
router).
But if your host PC is directly connected to the Internet without any
router in between then your ISP probably only provides for a single IP
address to be given, in which case you have to get yourself a router
to put between Internet ((A)DSL) and the local network.
If you go the "Shared networking" way then the guest will use the host
to gain access to the Internet, but it will not be possible to
communicate between the guests or between host and guest. Not
recommended.

Thanks for your Post.
I tried installing the Driver for the installed LAN Hardware within the VPC
using a CD but it didn't "take". The install appeared to be successful, but
when I checked the Device Manager the "emulated" Driver was all that showed
up.
