LAN ADAPTER UNDER VPC

Source: microsoft.public.virtualpc
Sent: 11/22/2008

Message:

I have installed Virtual PC 2007, and three versions of Windows Vista on it
(Ultimate, Home Premium, and Business), as well as Windows XP Professional.
I cannot get onto the Internet with any of them. The Settings Menu for each
of the installed OSs shows a Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet
Adapter. This is correct as this is the integrated Ethernet on my ASUS P5E
MOBO. However, checking in the VPC Device Manager for each OS it shows the
following installed: Intel 21140 - Based PCI fast Ethernet Adapter
(Emulated). Obviously, the hardware actually installed on the Host Machine
is not showing up in the Device Manager of the VPC even though the Settings
Menu for the VPC is showing the correct hardware configuration.

Has anyone had this problem before? If so, how did you get out of it? Are
there any suggestions to get the correct hardware to show up in the VPC?

Thank you for your assistance

Regards,

Vic
