I tried to read through VPC help and other details provided at:

I tried 'Microsoft Loopback Adapter' -But stil I could not connect to
Internet from VPC instance [WIN2003 SP2 VHD]

I tried 'Sharing Network (NAT)' option and configured IP address details on
VPC instance - still not able to connect to Internet?

Can someone help me what needs to be done. I just want to get to Internet
from VPC instance.

You should set the VM to auto for Shared Networking. You shouldn't
mess with the settings, that pretty much guarantees you won't get a
connection.

Why did you set up a loop-back, there'a a lot more to do than that and
you only need it in special cases.

By default, the network option you get should work as long as you are
able to get a 2nd IP address. This occurs when your host PC is
directly connected to your DSL or cable modem, since most ISPs don't
offer more than 1 IP.

Shared networking should work, but reset your info to automatically

But main problem is not so much connecting to Internet- I am happy with
sharing files from host machine -which works fine -and I use host machine to
get required files from Internet.

But following is main issue:
- I got WIN2K3 SP2 VHD for free from microsoft
- But I really need to test in WIN2K3 SP1 environment
- So I thought I will uninstall SP2 and install SP1
- But uninstall of SP2 requires REBOOT
- Once I reboot, machine is not letting me login 'saying windows
actiavation is required and can not login without activating'
- If I select 'Activate' -then it comes back to login dialog -my guess is
that activation is failing because Internet connection is not available

So, I thought I will establish internet connection -which may not be very
easy.

Alternate option:

Can someone point me to WIN2K3 SP1 VHD or JUST WIN2K3 VHD that I can
download from Microsoft.

There are still many clients using WIN2K3 SP1 and we can not get them to SP2
right away -so I am forced to recreate WIN2K3 SP1 environment.
