I have tried running both Red hat (9) and Ubuntu Linux within VPC.
Both work but I cannot get the reslotion higher then 800 x 600 does
anyone know where I can get a Linux dreiver to show higher
resloutions. TRhe S3 emulation is acient and no one seems to have a
driver for it

Vesa only made it a little better. Is there a VESA that will do 1024
x 768 or higher?

The different distributions of Linux make it hard to tell someone what
to do unless you have worked with that distribution yourself, and I
haven't used Red Hat.

Maybe someone else here has, but the chances are better in a Linux /
red hat specific place as Bill said.

might be enough to get you to a higher resolution.

For RHL9: Under the Display system settings select a Generic LCD monitor
1600x1200, and the VESA generic driver. Then I was able to set 1600x1200 for
