I wanted to make a comment about the versions of Virtual PC available. I am
a heavy user of it for development purposes as well as sales/demo. One
problem that I have - and this is a big concern for me - is the lack of full
screen widescreen support built in. If using a laptop with a wider aspect
ratio, going to full screen - the Guest OS's resolution remains the same -
with the remainder of the screen staying black.

For those of us using it as a production-level support tool - this is one of
my greatest annoyance. If anyone at Microsoft reads - this - please please
do something about it.

the other isn't and you want to display on both screens or switch the
virtual PC machine from one to the other? Seems to me having to use Remote
Desktop is sort of absurd. I almost bought a second monitor over the 4th
(big sale at Dell) and it would have been wide screen not because I like
widescreen..I don't...but because that is all there is now in the UltraSharp
line from Dell.

If you want to run a VM on two screens you will also need to use RDP.
VPC will work in a dual monitor environment but only full-screen on
one monitor.

You could try VM Ware Workstation if VPC is not meeting your needs, as
it supports dual monitor options.

The limitation is related to DirectX. IIRC, there are some older
threads discussing this. I doubt you'll see this change until there's
a new version of VPC, since it would require extensive reworking of
VPC's video architecture.
