Random shut of Guest OS

Ok a bit of a strange one for the community. I have Vista running various
virtualisation options and various OS's and this problem isn't restricted to
just Virtual PC 2007.

The host OS is Vista and it seems to send a shutdown command to the Guest OS
at random times, I have tried to discern some kind of pattern to the unwanted
shudowns but haven't had any luck, it could be after 3 days or 3 minutes,
when I have a number of applications open or could be after just booting. The
Guest OS's do a complete shutdown so that makes me think that it's a command
being sent from the host OS, I just haven't been able to find any kind of
answer. I have tried Vista Basic(fully licensed) using VMWare Player and
Workstation both do the same thing and I have also tried using XP Pro(fully
licensed) on Virtual PC 2007 this also does the random shutdown, however it
does seem to happen more when the VPC window loses focus.

The host OS is:
Acer Aspire 9810
Dual Core 1.66Hz
3Gb RAM
32 bit

The Vista Guest OS is:
1.5Gb Ram
30Gb Harddrive 6.7Gb free

The XP Pro OS is:
512Mb Ram
15Gb Harddrive 7.8Gb free

If you have any ideas please let me know, it's driving me mad
