Hi,
I'm installed Virtual PC 5.2 on Windows XP (full upgrade),
I have created a new PC and I have installed Windows 2000
Server with IIS.
The web server working on TCP/IP.
When I'm setting Networking on virtual PC but i can't
configured because in the virtual PC settings
(File>Preferences>Virtual Switch) appears the message:
"The Virtual Switch feature is not available because the
Virtual PC Emulated Ethernet Switch driver is disable or
not installed."
???????????????

You know something about Virtual PC Emulated Ethernet
Switch? Where can I download the drivrs of if existing a
service to be albe on?

shutdown vpc

1. from the desktop, right-click "my network places" and then click
"properties
2. locate the NIC in the "network and dial-up
connections"
3. right-click on the NIC
4. in the middle of the window, it says "components checked are used
by this connection"
5. find "virutal machine network services" and verify that it is
checked
6. if its not checked, check the box in front of it and go to 16
7. if "virutal machine network services" is not listed, click
"install"
8. click "service" and click add..
9. if "virutal machine network services" is listed, select it and
click ok, then go to step 16
10 if its not listed, click "have disk"
11. click browse
12. browse to c:\program files\microsoft virtual pc\utility\vmnetsrv
13. select vmnetsrv.inf and click open
14. click ok
15 click ok again
16. click close to close the ms loopback properties box
17. start vpc

Only worked with MS Virtual PC 2004 but should be
relatively the same.
On the host OS(XP), look at the properties of your network
connection(s) (right click on the network local area
connection). In the list of network components, you
should see Virtual Machine Network Services. Be sure that
the checkbox is checked.

The next thing you need is to install the MS Loopback
adapter. This device allows your virtual machine to talk
with the host OS via the internal virtual network.
Instructions on how to install are in previous threads.

From the virtual machine side, configure your server to
talk to virtual adapter(loopback adapter). Should see
this once it's been installed on the host OS.
